Mr. Michael Orrey
Patient Care Quality Review Boards
Dear Michael Orrey:
RE: FILE NUMBER UNCLEAR
Complaint – Richard Maddocks
As you are well aware Sir, I have asked some very simple and reasonable questions about your “review process” and how I am to be informed as to the progress of that review. I asked those reasonable questions in writing … via email. My last emailed correspondence from Brenda Evans suggested I would be contacted by an investigator and I must communicate with your department only by telephone. Why are you and Brenda Evans so obstructive Mr. Orrey ??? Is it because I make public all correspondence with you and your department Sir?
Doesn’t the taxpayer of BC have a right to know how their money is being spent Mr. Orrey? Last time I checked Sir … We … The People … have been paying your wages. Do you really believe you are above reproach Sir? I can assure you that assumption would be a grave error but such errors have already been made. I expect little else from you these days. I find you, Mr. Orrey, and your staff profoundly arrogant. To date I have yet to hear one word from Brenda Evans, from any investigator …. or from you Sir. Once again, I need you to know how concerned I am about your department’s refusal to communicate with me in the form I have requested. That said, I now have a mailing address and would like all updates (and an immediate answer to my previous questions) mailed to me at the following address.

I was REQUIRED to complain in writing and I expect you to respond in writing Sir. As I have previously informed you I am NOT ABLE to communicate with you or anyone else in your department by telephone … and if that eventually occurs (out of pure frustration only) … all telephone calls will be recorded and posted to my website … as will any and all correspondence, regardless of what form it takes.
Mr. Orrey … I’m thinking it may be time to hire a lawyer but I’ll wait until your review is complete … in December .. the law says. The money you and Brenda Evans have been saving for a rainy day Mr. Orrey? Well Sir … it’s raining. I have already consulted with the BC Civil Liberties Association and will keep you well advised you can be assured. The expense you are about to incur on behalf of the BC taxpayer will be exorbitant and completely unnecessary … unless of course … your department is actually invested in covering for the BC Ambulance Service rather than investigating mine and other complaints in good faith. So far Sir … your department’s actions defy every commitment made on your documentation / website. I have seen no signs of good faith.
WHO and WHAT are we to believe Sir?
I look forward to hearing from you in detail very soon Mr. Orrey.
Yours very truly,
Richard Maddocks
